In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Calvary Christian Cougar volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Matthews Christian Academy Colts.

The Cougar (17-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Cramerton Christian Academy (Cramerton, NC). The Crusaders enter the non-league challenge with a 9-5 record. In their last challenge, Cramerton Christian Academy beat Faith Christian (Ramseur, NC), 3-2, in a non-league test.

The Colts now own a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Abundant Life Christian Academy for a NCCSA A District 2 - West Region test on Tuesday, October 14. Matthews Christian Academy will face a Knights squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Victory Christian (Sylva, NC). The Knights record now stands at 10-8.
