Joseph City Wildcats (Joseph City, AZ) backers were in high spirits Friday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the host El Capitan Eagles (Colorado City, AZ), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats (22-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Red Mesa (Teec Nos Pos, AZ). The Redskins enter the non-league challenge with a 8-6 record. In their last challenge, Red Mesa achieved victory over Rough Rock (Chinle, AZ), 3-0, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Water Canyon for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, October 14. El Capitan will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 3-1 league win over Escalante (Escalante, UT). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-9.
