In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Madison Dragons volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Winside Wildcats.
The Dragons (3-21) will now prepare for their challenge against Hartington-Newcastle (Hartington, NE). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 4-17 record. In their last test, Hartington-Newcastle was edged by West Point-Beemer (West Point, NE), 3-1, in a non-league test.
The Wildcats now sport a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bloomfield for a non-league test on Saturday, October 11. Winside will play a Bees team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Randolph (Randolph, NE). The Bees record now stands at 12-6.
