The Mt. Edgecumbe Braves volleyball squad (Sitka, AK), was edged 1-0 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Mountain City Christian Academy Lions (Anchorage, AK)

The Lions (12-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Kenai Central (Kenai, AK). The Kardinals enter the non-league challenge with a 21-4 record. In their last challenge, Kenai Central got by Nikiski (Nikiski, AK), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Braves meet the Sitka Wolves (Sitka, AK) in a 3A Southeast challenge, on Friday, October 17. Mt. Edgecumbe will attempt to upgrade on its 8-15 season record. The Wolves enter the challenge with a 13-10 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to West Anchorage (Anchorage, AK).
