Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the Elbert County Blue Devils (Elberton, GA) and the visiting Washington-Wilkes Tigers (Washington, GA), witnessed Elbert County's softball squad tip Washington-Wilkes by a count of 9-3.

The Blue Devils now sport a 12-11 record. They play next when they travel to Oglethorpe County for a non-league match on Thursday, October 13. Elbert County will face a Patriots squad coming off a 9-0 league loss to Social Circle (Social Circle, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 14-11.

With the loss, Washington-Wilkes moves to 9-12 on the season.
