The New Hampstead Phoenix volleyball team (Savannah, GA), was nudged 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league challenge with the visiting Battery Creek Dolphins (Beaufort, SC)

The Dolphins (10-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Philip Simmons (Charleston, SC). The Iron Horses enter the AAA Region 8 challenge with a 33-4 record. In their last challenge, Philip Simmons nipped Hanahan (Hanahan, SC), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Phoenix encounter the Toombs County Bulldogs (Lyons, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 13. New Hampstead will attempt to move on its 21-14 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 19-12 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to South Effingham (Guyton, GA).
