The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Freeman Mavericks (Richmond, VA) and the visiting Mechanicsville Mustangs (Mechanicsville, VA), saw Freeman's volleyball squad beat Mechanicsville by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Freeman upgrades its record to 14-1 on the year. The Mavericks travel to Godwin (Richmond, VA) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, October 19. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-10.

The Mustangs now own a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Henrico for a non-league bout on Thursday, October 12. Mechanicsville will play a Warriors squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Hanover (Mechanicsville, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 2-8.
