Middleburgh Knights (Middleburgh, NY) supporters were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Mekeel Christian Academy Lions (Schenectady, NY), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Coming up next, the Knights encounter the Northville Falcons (Northville, NY) in a Western Athletic- Northern test, on Friday, October 13. Middleburgh will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Falcons come into the test with a 9-3 record after their 3-0 league win over Duanesburg (Delanson, NY).

With the loss, Mekeel Christian Academy drops to 3-9 on the season. The Lions travel to Canajoharie (Canajoharie, NY) to encounter the Cougars in a Western Athletic- Northern test on Friday, October 13. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 4-9.
