In Wednesday's non-league battle, the host Cathedral Fighting Irish soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the East Central Trojans.
The Fighting Irish (15-4) will now prepare for their battle against Carmel (Carmel, IN). The Greyhounds come into the non-league match with a 17-1 record. In their last match, Carmel Pike (Indianapolis, IN), 1-1, in a non-league match.
With the loss, East Central drops to 17-2 on the season.
