The Hazelwood East Spartans volleyball team (St. Louis, MO), was dropped 2-0 in Wednesday's non-league challenge with the host Alton Redbirds (Alton, IL)

The Redbirds (16-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Collinsville (Collinsville, IL). The Kahoks enter the Southwestern challenge with a 17-11 record. In their last challenge, Collinsville was dropped by Belleville West (Belleville, IL), 2-0, in a league bout.

The Spartans now own a 21-7 record. They play next when they travel to Jennings for a non-league bout on Thursday, October 12.
