The Downers Grove South Mustangs held off the visiting Loyola Academy Ramblers volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Mustangs now have a 12-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Willowbrook for a non-league test on Wednesday, October 11. Downers Grove South will confront a Warriors team coming off a 2-0 league win over Proviso East (Maywood, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 27-1.
The Ramblers (17-13) will now prepare for their test against Marian Catholic (Chicago Heights, IL). The Spartans enter the non-league test with a 9-15 record. In their last test, Marian Catholic was nudged by Andrean (Merrillville, IN), 3-0, in a non-league test.
