The Making Waves Academy Marlins (Richmond, CA) volleyball were winner over the visiting Emery Spartans (Emeryville, CA), 3-0 in Wednesday's non-league outing.

With the win, Making Waves Academy betters its record to 10-10 on the year. The Marlins travel to California Crosspoint (Hayward, CA) to face the Rams in a Bay Counties - General outing on Friday, October 13. The Rams go into the outing with a record of 14-2.

The Spartans now sport a 4-7 record. They play next when they host Summit Tamalpais for a non-league outing on Thursday, October 12. Emery will face a Timberwolves squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Holy Names (Oakland, CA). The Timberwolves record now stands at 3-5.
