Washington High School Football - Archbishop Murphy nips Anacortes

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Archbishop Murphy Wildcats (Everett, WA) and the visiting Anacortes Seahawks (Anacortes, WA), witnessed Archbishop Murphy's football squad edge Anacortes by a tally of 34-28.

The Wildcats (6-0) will now prepare for their contest against Lynden (Lynden, WA). The Lions enter the 2A Northwest contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Lynden got by Squalicum (Bellingham, WA), 36-30, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Seahawks battle the Lakewood Cougars (Arlington, WA) in a 2A Northwest contest, on Friday, October 18. Anacortes will attempt to better on its 5-1 season record. The Cougars enter the contest with a 2-4 record after their 36-14 league win over Marysville-Pilchuck (Marysville, WA).
