The Warriors enter the game with a 8-0 record after their 12-7 league win over West Clermont (Cincinnati, OH).
The Eagles (1-7) will now prepare for their game against Lebanon (Lebanon, OH). The Warriors enter the Eastern Cincinnati game with a 5-3 record. In their last game, Lebanon overwhelmed Turpin (Cincinnati, OH), 48-28, in a league game.
First Quarter
Walnut Hills received the ball first to begin the game, but Anderson's Ace Alston forced and recovered an Eagle fumble less than a minute into the game. With 10:18 to go in the first, Durrell Turner scampered in for a 6-yard Raptor touchdown to put Anderson on top. Justice Burnam was held out of the end zone on the two-point try, but the lead held at 6-0. The ensuing Eagle drive resulted in a Colin Ross punt, and Turner ran for a 6-yard touchdown and two-point conversion to extxend Anderson's lead. On the Raptors' next drive, Burnam hooked up with Aiden McClanahan for a 40-yard touchdown and Antwoine Higgins rushed on the 2-point try. On the next drive, Walnut Hills quarterback Will Rivers was picked off by Alston, who returned the pick 30 yards for another Anderson touchdown. A Turner rush added two more points, giving the Raptors a 30-0 lead. After an Eagle punt, Burnam and Trace Jallick connected on a 66-yard touchdown and Turner rushed for two to make it 38-0 Anderson.
Second Quarter
Walnut Hills opened the second quarter with possession, but a Will Rivers pass was intercepted by senior Jayonn Saunders to give the Raptors the ball back early in the quarter. With 8:44 remaining in the half, Burnam ran for a touchdown from six yards out and sophomore Nick Rosiello converted the two-point conversion on the ground to extend Anderson's lead to 46. The Eagles could not move the ball on their next drive, and Colin Ross punted the ball back to the Raptors just before the half. The two teams entered halftime with Anderson up big, leading 46-0.
Third Quarter
The third quarter began with a running clock and Anderson possession, and the Raptors threatened early on when senior Nick Martin advanced the ball past midfield. Anderson could not put points on the board, however, and turned the ball over on downs to Walnut Hills. With 1:40 to go in the third quarter, Eagle quarterback Will Rivers found senior Mark Bronson from 34 yards away for the first Walnut Hills touchdown of the game. Colin Ross's PAT was good to close the gap to 39 at 46-7. The third quarter ended with this score and Raptor possession.
Fourth Quarter
A long run by Anderson quarterback Nick Rosiello opened the fourth quarter, but a lengthy drive ultimately ended in a turnover on downs for the Raptors. The Eagles were also not able to muster up any points on the final drive of the game, and Anderson closed out a 46-7 victory over Walnut Hills.
