The Clay County Panthers walloped the host Calhoun Red Devils football team by a score of 54-14 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers play the Grafton Bearcats (Grafton, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 18. Clay County will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Bearcats go into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 37-36 league loss to Elkins (Elkins, WV).

The Red Devils (0-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Valley (Pine Grove, WV). The Lumberjacks go into the non-league challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Valley was ripped by Cameron (Cameron, WV), 46-0, in a league challenge.
