The Cherokee Washington Braves were victorious over the host Unity Christian Knights football team by a score of 26-14 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Braves face the Sioux Central Rebels (Sioux Rapids, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 12. Cherokee Washington will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Rebels enter the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 43-6 league win over Pocahontas (Pocahontas, IA).
The Knights (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Western Christian (Hull, IA). The Wolfpack enter the 2A District 1 challenge with a 4-3 record. In their last challenge, Western Christian lost by Central Lyon/George-Little Rock (Rock Rapids, IA), 23-7, in a league challenge.
