North Carolina High School Football - Christ the King loses to Mountain Island Charter

Mountain Island Charter Raptors (Mt. Holly, NC) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Christ the King Crusaders (Huntersville, NC), 34-15 in a league battle.
With the win, Mountain Island Charter advances its record to 3-4 on the season. The Raptors travel to Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC) to play the Villains in a 1A/2A Conference A battle on Friday, October 18. The Villains go into the battle with a record of 5-2. Bishop McGuinness won 34-14 in their recent league battle against Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC)
The Crusaders now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Winston-Salem Prep for a 1A/2A Conference A battle on Friday, October 18. Christ the King will play a Phoenix team coming off a 51-0 league loss to Community School of Davidson (Davidson, NC). The Phoenix record now stands at 1-5.
