The crowd at Friday's league contest between the West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS) and the host Corinth Warriors (Corinth, MS), witnessed West Point's football squad wallop Corinth by a tally of 42-7.

The Green Wave (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Clarksdale (Clarksdale, MS). The Wildcats enter the 5A Region 1 contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Clarksdale crushed Lafayette (Oxford, MS), 34-14, in a league outing.

With the defeat, Corinth drops to 3-3 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to New Hope (Columbus, MS) to clash with the Trojans in a 5A Region 1 outing on Friday, October 18. The Trojans come into the outing with a record of 5-1. New Hope won 42-35 in their recent league outing against Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS)
