The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Crestwood Cadets (Cresco, IA) and the host New Hampton Chickasaws (New Hampton, IA), witnessed Crestwood's football squad edge New Hampton by a tally of 28-27.

The Cadets (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against North Fayette Valley (West Union, IA). The enter the 2A District 3 contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, North Fayette Valley got by Oelwein (Oelwein, IA), 2-0, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Chickasaws battle the Waukon Indians (Waukon, IA) in a 2A District 3 contest, on Friday, October 18. New Hampton will attempt to better on its 1-5 season record. The Indians enter the contest with a 3-5 record after their 42-6 league loss to Osage (Osage, IA).
