The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Largo Lions (Upper Marlboro, MD) and the host Crossland Cavaliers (Temple Hills, MD), witnessed Largo's football squad edge Crossland by a tally of 27-24.

The Lions (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Friendly (Fort Washington, MD). The Patriots enter the Prince George's County 2A/1A contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Friendly was nudged by Gwynn Park (Brandywine, MD), 35-8, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Cavaliers battle the Douglass Eagles (Upper Marlboro, MD) in a Prince George's County 2A/1A contest, on Saturday, October 19. Crossland will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 5-1 record after their 40-7 league win over Potomac (Oxon Hill, MD).
