Ohio High School Football - Elgin thwarted by Upper Scioto Valley

Upper Scioto Valley Rams (McGuffey, OH) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Elgin Comets (Marion, OH), 28-8 in a league battle.

With the win, Upper Scioto Valley advances its record to 7-1 on the season. The Rams travel to Hardin Northern (Dola, OH) to play the Polar Bears in a Northwest Central battle on Friday, October 18. The Polar Bears go into the battle with a record of 6-2. Hardin Northern won 52-14 in their recent non-league battle against Crestline (Crestline, OH)

The Comets now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Perry for a Northwest Central battle on Friday, October 18. Elgin will battle a Commodores squad coming off a 26-7 league loss to Waynesfield-Goshen (Waynesfield, OH). The Commodores record now stands at 4-4.
