Oklahoma High School Football - Elmore City-Pernell thwarted by Konawa

Konawa Tigers (Konawa, OK) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Elmore City-Pernell Badgers (Elmore City, OK), 55-30 in a league battle.

With the win, Konawa improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Tigers host Velma-Alma (Velma, OK) to play the Comets in a A-II District 2 battle on Friday, October 18. The Comets go into the battle with a record of 4-2. Velma-Alma won 38-0 in their recent non-league battle against Wayne (Wayne, OK)

The Badgers now have a 0-6 record. They play next when they travel to Wayne for a A-II District 2 battle on Thursday, October 17. Elmore City-Pernell will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 38-0 non-league loss to Velma-Alma (Velma, OK). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-5.
