North Carolina High School Football - Fairmont trounced by Midway

October 11, 2024: Fairmont, NC 28340

Midway Raiders (Dunn, NC) followers were happy Friday as they witnessed their football squad wallop the host Fairmont Golden Tornadoes (Fairmont, NC), 57-6 in a league contest.

The Raiders (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against West Bladen (Bladenboro, NC). The Knights enter the 2A Southeastern contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, West Bladen was trounced by Clinton (Clinton, NC), 40-12, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Golden Tornadoes battle the St. Pauls Bulldogs (St. Pauls, NC) in a 2A Southeastern contest, on Friday, October 18. Fairmont will attempt to better on its 0-7 season record. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 5-2 record after their 44-6 league win over Red Springs (Red Springs, NC).
