The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Fernley Vaqueros (Fernley, NV) and the host Lowry Buckaroos (Winnemucca, NV), witnessed Fernley's football squad wallop Lowry by a tally of 79-47.

The Vaqueros (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Spring Creek (Spring Creek, NV). The Spartans enter the 3A Northern contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Spring Creek was trounced by Churchill County (Fallon, NV), 21-14, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Buckaroos battle the South Tahoe Vikings (South Lake Tahoe, CA) in a 3A Northern contest, on Friday, October 18. Lowry will attempt to better on its 1-6 season record. The Vikings enter the contest with a 3-5 record after their 30-24 league win over Sparks (Sparks, NV).
