North Carolina High School Football - Hertford County defeats First Flight

October 11, 2024: Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Hertford County Bears (Ahoskie, NC) and the host First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC), witnessed Hertford County's football squad topple First Flight by a tally of 44-13.

The Bears (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Camden County (Camden, NC). The Bruins enter the 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Camden County was outscored by Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC), 49-0, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Nighthawks confront the Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) in a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal contest, on Friday, October 18. First Flight will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record. The Aces enter the contest with a 3-4 record after their 40-28 league loss to Currituck County (Barco, NC).
