The Mill Valley Jaguars edged the host Gardner-Edgerton Trailblazers football team by a score of 41-35 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Jaguars face the Shawnee Mission West Vikings (Shawnee Mission, KS) in a Sunflower challenge, on Thursday, October 17. Mill Valley will attempt to improve on its 5-1 season record. The Vikings enter the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 40-7 league loss to Shawnee Mission East (Shawnee Mission, KS).

The Trailblazers (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Olathe Northwest (Olathe, KS). The Ravens enter the Sunflower challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Olathe Northwest held off Olathe North (Olathe, KS), 27-26, in a league challenge.
