The Hancock Hawks edged the visiting West Harrison Hurricanes football team by a score of 21-20 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Hawks face the George County Rebels (Lucedale, MS) in a 6A Region 4 challenge, on Friday, October 18. Hancock will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Rebels enter the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 48-13 league win over Long Beach (Long Beach, MS).

The Hurricanes (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Picayune (Picayune, MS). The Maroon Tide enter the 6A Region 4 challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Picayune held off Pascagoula (Pascagoula, MS), 38-28, in a league challenge.
