Kansas High School Football - Valley Heights trounces Herington

In Friday's league match, the host Valley Heights Mustangs football squad scored a decisive 54-8 triumph over the Herington Railroaders.

The Mustangs (5-1) will now prepare for their match against Republic County (Belleville, KS). The Buffaloes come into the North Central AA match with a 2-4 record. In their last match, Republic County was routed by Remington (Whitewater, KS), 27-26, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Railroaders meet the Sacred Heart Knights (Salina, KS) in a North Central AA match, on Friday, October 18. Herington will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Knights come into the match with a 2-4 record after their 31-12 non-league win over Bennington (Bennington, KS).
