The Hermleigh Cardinals (Hermleigh, TX) football trounced the visiting Highland Hornets (Roscoe, TX), 54-6 in Friday's league test.
The Cardinals now hold a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rotan for a 1A 6 Man 1 Region II District 7 (6 Man) test on Friday, October 18. Hermleigh will meet a Yellowhammers squad coming off a 56-0 league loss to Westbrook (Westbrook, TX). The Yellowhammers record now stands at 3-4.
With the defeat, Highland drops to 2-4 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Roby (Roby, TX) to meet the Lions in a 1A 6 Man 1 Region II District 7 (6 Man) test on Friday, October 18.
