The St. Helena College and Career Academy Hawks walloped the visiting Independence Tigers football team by a score of 34-2 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Hawks face the St. Thomas Aquinas Falcons (Hammond, LA) in a 2A District 9 challenge, on Friday, October 18. St. Helena College and Career Academy will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Falcons go into the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 42-14 league loss to Pope John Paul II (Slidell, LA).
The Tigers (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Kentwood (Kentwood, LA). The Kangaroos go into the non-league challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Kentwood bounced Frederick A. Douglass (New Orleans, LA), 51-6, in a non-league challenge.
