The Sparkman Senators edged the visiting James Clemens Jets football team by a score of 15-14 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Senators face the Grissom Tigers (Huntsville, AL) in a 7A Region 4 challenge, on Friday, October 18. Sparkman will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 38-7 league loss to Florence (Florence, AL).

The Jets (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Austin (Decatur, AL). The Black Bears enter the 7A Region 4 challenge with a 7-0 record. In their last challenge, Austin held off Bob Jones (Madison, AL), 42-28, in a league challenge.
