Colorado High School Football - La Junta thwarted by Manitou Springs

Manitou Springs Mustangs (Manitou Springs, CO) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting La Junta Tigers (La Junta, CO), 43-24 in a league battle.

With the win, Manitou Springs advances its record to 3-3 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Lamar (Lamar, CO) to play the Thunder in a 2A South East battle on Thursday, October 17. The Thunder go into the battle with a record of 5-1. Lamar lost 24-20 in their recent league battle against Woodland Park (Woodland Park, CO)

The Tigers now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Banning Lewis Academy for a 2A South East battle on Friday, October 18. La Junta will play a Stallions team coming off a 28-0 league loss to Florence (Florence, CO). The Stallions record now stands at 1-5.
