The Leake Central Gators (Carthage, MS) football tipped the visiting Northeast Lauderdale Trojans (Meridian, MS), 34-28 in Friday's league outing.
The Gators now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Choctaw Central for a 4A Region 4 outing on Friday, October 18. Leake Central will clash with a Warriors squad coming off a 37-13 league loss to Newton County (Decatur, MS). The Warriors record now stands at 4-2.
With the defeat, Northeast Lauderdale drops to 2-6 on the campaign. The Trojans host West Lauderdale (Collinsville, MS) to clash with the Knights in a 4A Region 4 outing on Friday, October 18. The Knights come into the outing with a record of 4-3. West Lauderdale won 49-30 in their recent non-league outing against Taylorsville (Taylorsville, MS)
