North Carolina High School Football - West Davidson thwarted by Lexington

Lexington Yellowjackets (Lexington, NC) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting West Davidson Dragons (Lexington, NC), 35-16 in a league battle.

With the win, Lexington advances its record to 5-2 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Salisbury (Salisbury, NC) to play the Hornets in a 1A/2A Central Carolina battle on Friday, October 18. The Hornets go into the battle with a record of 7-1. Salisbury won 73-7 in their recent league contest against East Davidson (Thomasville, NC)

Coming up next, the Dragons battle the North Rowan Cavaliers (Spencer, NC) in a 1A/2A Central Carolina contest, on Friday, October 18. West Davidson will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Cavaliers enter the contest with a 5-2 record after their 60-6 league win over East Davidson (Thomasville, NC).
