The Weaver Bearcats were victorious over the host Locust Fork Hornets football team by a score of 45-34 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Bearcats face the Piedmont Bulldogs (Piedmont, AL) in a 3A Region 6 challenge, on Friday, October 18. Weaver will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 7-0 record after their 41-21 league win over Pennington (Blountsville, AL).
The Hornets (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Wellborn (Anniston, AL). The Panthers enter the 3A Region 6 challenge with a 6-1 record. In their last challenge, Wellborn lost by Ohatchee (Ohatchee, AL), 37-30, in a league challenge.
