The Montcalm Generals football squad scored 59 points and limited the visiting Phelps Hornets to 12 in the Generals non-league triumph on Friday.

The Generals now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host River View for a Coalfield A test on Friday, October 18. Montcalm will meet a Raiders squad coming off a 41-6 league loss to Tug Valley (Williamson, WV). The Raiders record now stands at 4-2.

With the defeat, Phelps drops to 2-4 on the campaign. The Hornets host Fairview (Ashland, KY) to meet the Eagles in a non-league test on Saturday, October 19. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 3-4. Fairview lost 56-6 in their recent league test against Raceland (Raceland, KY)
