The Pickens County Tornadoes were victorious over the visiting South Lamar Stallions football team by a score of 28-12 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Tornadoes face the Berry Wildcats (Berry, AL) in a 1A Region 5 challenge, on Friday, October 18. Pickens County will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 69-44 league win over Sumiton Christian (Sumiton, AL).
The Stallions (1-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Brilliant (Brilliant, AL). The Tigers enter the 1A Region 5 challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Brilliant lost by Hubbertville (Fayette, AL), 49-8, in a league challenge.
