In Friday's league match, the host Stanton Mustangs football squad scored a good 48-28 victory over the Plainview Pirates.

The Mustangs (7-0) will now prepare for their match against Laurel-Concord-Coleridge (Laurel, NE). The Bears enter the D1 District 4 (8 Man) match with a 1-6 record. In their last match, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge was beaten by Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] (Clearwater, NE), 59-14, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Pirates confront the Lutheran-Northeast Eagles (Norfolk, NE) in a D1 District 4 (8 Man) match, on Thursday, October 17. Plainview will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 1-6 record after their 50-14 league loss to Elkhorn Valley (Tilden, NE).
