Texas High School Football - Van Alstyne nudges Sanger

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Van Alstyne Panthers (Van Alstyne, TX) and the host Sanger Indians (Sanger, TX), witnessed Van Alstyne's football squad edge Sanger by a tally of 42-41.

The Panthers (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Gainesville (Gainesville, TX). The Leopards enter the 4A-2 Region II District 5 contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Gainesville was nudged by Caddo Mills (Caddo Mills, TX), 28-21, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Indians confront the Krum Bobcats (Krum, TX) in a 4A-2 Region II District 5 contest, on Friday, October 18. Sanger will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record. The Bobcats enter the contest with a 5-1 record after their 47-33 league loss to Van Alstyne (Van Alstyne, TX).
