Texas High School Football - Shepherd winner over Tarkington

The Shepherd Pirates (Shepherd, TX) football knocked off the visiting Tarkington Longhorns (Cleveland, TX), 50-32 in Friday's league outing.

The Pirates now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Orange-Stark for a 4A-2 Region III District 9 outing on Friday, October 18. Shepherd will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 39-36 league win over Jasper (Jasper, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-1.

With the defeat, Tarkington drops to 1-5 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Silsbee (Silsbee, TX) to clash with the Tigers in a 4A-2 Region III District 9 outing on Friday, October 18. The Tigers come into the outing with a record of 4-2. Silsbee lost 35-14 in their recent league outing against Hamshire-Fannett (Hamshire, TX)
