Spruce Mountain Phoenix (Jay, ME) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Telstar Rebels (Bethel, ME), 54-6 in a league battle.

With the win, Spruce Mountain advances its record to 5-1 on the season. The Phoenix travel to Boothbay/Wiscasset (Boothbay Harbor, ME) to encounter the in a 8-Man Small South (8 Man) battle on Friday, October 18. The go into the battle with a record of 3-3. Boothbay/Wiscasset won 36-14 in their recent league battle against Traip (Kittery, ME)

The Rebels now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Gray-New Gloucester for a non-league battle on Friday, October 18. Telstar will encounter a Patriots team coming off a 38-22 league loss to Greely (Cumberland Center, ME). The Patriots record now stands at 3-3.
