New Hampstead Phoenix (Savannah, GA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their flag football team achieve victory over the host St. Vincent's Saints (Savannah, GA), 21-6 in a non-league battle.
With the win, New Hampstead advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Phoenix travel to Bryan County (Pembroke, GA) to play the Redskins in a D2 Area 3 battle on Monday, October 21. The Redskins go into the battle with a record of 0-0.
The Saints now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Southeast Bulloch for a non-league battle on Monday, October 21. St. Vincent's will play a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 14-6 non-league win over South Effingham (Guyton, GA). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 2-0.
