Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA), 14-12 in a league battle.

With the win, Grossmont improves its record to 5-2 on the season. The Foothillers host Helix (La Mesa, CA) to play the Highlanders in a battle on Friday, October 18. The Highlanders go into the battle with a record of 4-2. Helix won 14-6 in their recent league battle against Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA)

The Cougars now have a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Helix for a battle on Friday, November 1.
