McNair Academic Cougars (Jersey City, NJ) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Weequahic Indians (Newark, NJ), 6-1 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, McNair Academic moves its record to 5-9 on the campaign. The Cougars host Ferris (Jersey City, NJ) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Hudson County - National test on Monday, October 14. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 4-7. Ferris lost 6-0 in their recent non-league test against Belleville (Belleville, NJ)

The Indians now sport a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they host Orange for a non-league test on Thursday, October 17. Weequahic will clash with a Tornadoes team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Barringer (Newark, NJ). The Tornadoes record now stands at 3-9.
