Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Putnam Science Academy (Putnam, CT) and the host Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties (Woonsocket, RI), saw Putnam Science Academy's soccer squad hold off Mount St. Charles Academy by a count of 3-2.

The (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against South Kent School (South Kent, CT). The Cardinals enter the non-league battle with a 4-7 record. In their last battle, South Kent School was edged by Avon Old Farms (Avon, CT), 4-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Mounties battle the Portsmouth Abbey Ravens (Portsmouth, RI) in a Eastern Independent battle, on Saturday, October 12. Mount St. Charles Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Ravens enter the battle with a 8-2 record after their 6-0 league win over Bancroft (Worcester, MA).
