In Saturday's non-league outing, the Homestead Spartans (Fort Wayne, IN) flag football squad knocked off the host McCutcheon Mavericks (Lafayette, IN), by a margin of 42-20.
The Spartans now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to DeKalb for a non-league outing on Saturday, October 11. Homestead will clash with a Barons squad coming off a 49-19 non-league win over East Noble (Kendallville, IN). The Barons record now stands at 8-0.
With the defeat, McCutcheon falls to 4-3 on the year.
