In Saturday's non-league game, the Palma Chieftains (Salinas, CA) flag football team edged the host Aptos Mariners (Aptos, CA), by a tally of 14-12.
In their next game, the Chieftains battle the Carmel Padres (Carmel, CA) in a game, on Monday, October 13. Palma will attempt to better on its 8-4 season record. The Padres enter the game with a 6-4 record after their 31-26 league loss to King City (King City, CA).
The Mariners (7-5) will now prepare for their game against San Lorenzo Valley (Felton, CA). The Cougars enter the bout with a 0-4 record. In their last bout, San Lorenzo Valley was tipped by Scotts Valley (Scotts Valley, CA), 33-6, in a league bout.
