In Saturday's non-league game, the Highland Hawks (Gilbert, AZ) flag football team overcame the host Liberty Lions (Peoria, AZ), by a tally of 38-13.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions (Glendale, AZ) in a non-league game, on Saturday, October 11. Highland will attempt to better on its 9-1 season record. The Mountain Lions enter the game with a 3-3 record after their 20-14 non-league win over Prescott (Prescott, AZ).
