The Merced Bears flag football squad scored 39 points and limited the host Vacaville Bulldogs to 0 in the Bears non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Bears now sport a 16-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Atwater for a challenge on Tuesday, October 14. Merced will face a Falcons team coming off a 6-6 league Los Banos (Los Banos, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 5-2.

The Bulldogs (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Vanden (Fairfield, CA). The Vikings enter the challenge with a 10-4 record. In their last challenge, Vanden bounced River City (West Sacramento, CA), 28-0, in a league challenge.
