Mt. St. Michael Academy Mountaineers (Bronx, NY) followers went home pleased Saturday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Christ the King Royals (Middle Village, NY), 26-0 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Mt. St. Michael Academy upgrades its record to 1-4 on the year. The Mountaineers travel to St. Peter's (Staten Island, NY) to confront the Eagles in a non-league match on Saturday, October 18. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 1-3.

Coming up next, the Royals confront the Xaverian Clippers (Brooklyn, NY) in a non-league match, on Friday, October 17. Christ the King will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Clippers go into the battle with a 4-1 record after their 28-0 non-league win over St. John the Baptist (West Islip, NY).
